TOURISM
Tourists should visit Sukamade in Banyuwangi to see the conservation of rare turtles firsthand, enjoy a wild adventure in Meru Betiri National Park, and participate in the experience of releasing hatchlings (baby turtles) into the Indian Ocean.

Here are the main reasons:

World Class Turtle Ecotourism: Sukamade Beach is a natural habitat for turtles to lay their eggs almost every night of the year. You can quietly observe turtles laying eggs and monitor the hatching process in semi-natural hatcheries.

Experience of Releasing Hatchlings: One of the most memorable moments was releasing baby turtles (hatchlings) into the open sea, having a direct impact on the conservation of this endangered species.

Challenging Off-Road Adventure: The journey to this area is very adrenaline-pumping. You will traverse muddy fields and cross rivers using off-road vehicles.

Pristine and Secluded Nature: Located in a 50,000 hectare nature reserve, Sukamade offers a total escape from the hustle and bustle of the city with a quiet beach atmosphere, dense forests and very clean air
